Submission Guidelines

SUBMISSIONS OPEN AGAIN May 1, 2016! Send us your bravest.

FOR ISSUE 8 THERE ARE THEMES FOR EACH GENRE

Fiction: Abundance

Nonfiction: Bodies of Evidence

Poetry: Crash the Margins

Note: We only accept previously unpublished submissions.

All submissions are read by the appropriate genre editor—there are no intermediary readers—and the editors change every two months, so please reference the editors page to see who is currently reading.

Guidelines

Editors will be reading your work blindly. Please make sure your name or other identifying marks do not appear anywhere on your manuscript, including the title of your submission file. Do enter your real name and contact info on Submittable; this will be revealed to us if your work is chosen and will be used to contact you.

Submissions should be in Times New Roman, 12-point font. Only prose submissions need to be double spaced.

Prose

Submit only one story or essay at a time, no longer than 8,000 words. Please put the word count on the title page.

Poetry

Submit three to five poems at a time. Your submissions document should not exceed eight pages.
